1966 Corvette C2 Coupe fixed headlight R/H conversion

1966 Corvette C2 Coupe fixed headlight
This is a customers car and has been body-off restored. VChassis blasted and repainted, GM 4-speed auomatic fitted. Engine changed to Fuel -injected Ram-Jet 350. Electric power steering, Vintage Air, Le Mans syle fixed halogen headlamps, new interior and has now being converted to RHD.
This 1966 Coupe is now off to Hong Kong, where RHD is the law – no exceptions. We did six RHDs in 1981-1982, but this is the first since then. The actual mechanical side of transferring the steering column, box and linkage is the quick and easy part. It is the electrical and air-conditioning that takes the time. We also rebuilt the firewall so that there are no holes in the fiberglass to let engine heat and noise into the passenger compartment, which happened when these cars were new. C2 owners might be surprised to learn that the glovebox and gauges modules do not interchange directly, the dash needs to be entiely rebuilt to achieve the swop.
